Bhakti, or devotion, is one of the most profound and accessible paths to attain liberation (Moksha) in Hindu philosophy. In Vaishnavism, Lord Vishnu, also known as Perumal, is regarded as the supreme deity, and complete surrender to Him through Bhakti is considered the highest spiritual practice.
It is said that those who observe fast and perform sincere prayers on this day are blessed with divine grace and the ultimate reward of Moksha.
Special prayers and discourses are held in Vishnu temples. Devotees pass through the Vaikunta Dwaram (the gateway to Vaikuntha)
Observing a complete or partial fast, chanting Vishnu Sahasranamam, and reading the Bhagavad Gita are considered highly auspicious.
Perumal, another revered name for Lord Vishnu, holds immense significance in Vaishnavism, a tradition that emphasizes devotion to Vishnu as the ultimate path to liberation. Vishnu is regarded as the supreme protector of the universe, the preserver of Dharma, and the embodiment of compassion and grace.
Perumal is believed to incarnate in different forms (Dashavatara) to restore cosmic balance and protect righteousness.
He is known for his infinite mercy and willingness to accept devotees irrespective of their background, as seen in the stories of Prahlada, Gajendra, and Ajamila.
Vaishnavite philosophy, especially Vishishtadvaita as expounded by Ramanujacharya, teaches that surrendering to Perumal with unwavering faith leads to liberation (Moksha).

The Sudarshana Chakra is one of the most powerful weapons wielded by Perumal (Lord Vishnu). It is a divine discus with 108 serrated edges and is often depicted in Vishnu’s right hand, symbolizing His supreme power and righteousness.
"A truly divine place! The peaceful environment and the sacred chants create a very spiritual vibe. I felt calm and blessed after the darshan of Lord Perumal."
"Well-maintained temple with clean surroundings and helpful staff. The priests performed the rituals with devotion. A must-visit for anyone seeking spiritual comfort."
"The temple architecture is stunning and rich in tradition. It’s amazing how beautifully the history and culture are preserved here. A perfect place to connect with divine energy."
May the blessings of Lord Perumal, the protector of righteousness, guide us on the path of truth and peace.
Devotion, service, and dharma lead us to His divine grace.
